The Hub History

A Place to Be Yourself

Connect, Create, and Celebrate
The Hub is short for the Bromsgrove Youth and Community Hub. The project started as an idea from local young people, and with support from partners the project has grown from strength to strength. It is now seen as a critical Youth provider for the Bromsgrove area.
2000
A school drop-down day was held in the local high school. Young people were engaged with on what they would like to see in their community. The Youth Voice was very clear that they wanted somewhere they could attend and feel a sense of belonging to.
2000
Bromsgrove Baptist Church agreed to host the organisation and contributed to refurbishment costs through member donations and a legacy gift in memory of former church members who taught at a local school. Additional funding came from the Heart of England Baptist Association, Bromsgrove District Council’s New Homes Bonus Scheme, Worcestershire County Councillor divisional funds, the North Worcestershire Community Safety Partnership, and the West Mercia Police & Crime Commissioner. Local businesses also offered support, with notable sponsorship from Worcester Bosch
